November 6th 2008, Center for Northeast Asian Integration Studies-Peking University (CNAIS) held a seminar on China’s Economic Development and Environment. Researchers of CNAIS had an animated discussion with officials from National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Environmental Protection, members of Japan Association of Corporate Executives, as well as entrepreneurs and senior managers from Nippon Steel Corporation, Lolo Group and other Chinese and Japanese corporations over the topics like China’s economic development, China’s environmental protection, cooperation between China and Japan and so forth. Chair of Board of Trustees of CNAIS, Professor Wang Jisi and Director of the Academic Committee of CNAIS, Mr.Ryoji Furukawa co-presided at the seminar.
